Many join the military, sacrificing their dreams and risking their lives for people that they don’t even know. They do it for honor, they do it for love, they do it because it matters.
Every year, Veteran’s Day is a reminder of the countless men and women who’ve dedicated their lives to keeping this country safe. They do it knowing that there is a chance they may never come home, but they go anyway. Some say goodbye to precious family members, some don’t get to see children born or attend every birthday party.
They serve, selflessly, day in and day out in conditions that could make any other citizen want to throw in the towel. They are fighters and that’s why veterans deserve our respect, not just on this day but all throughout the year.

But there’s something special about being back on American soil, touching down on the tarmac, knowing that there are people who might not understand everything you’ve gone through but undoubtedly respect you. The lessons I learned on the field have made me stronger in civilian life and for those who have shared my experience or are currently on active duty, I salute you."
