What is spearmint oil? 

Spearmint, or mentha spicata, is a type of mint often used in personal care products (toothpaste, mouthwash etc.) It's therapeutic benefits are well noted, including pain relief, treating nausea, indigestion and even cold symptoms. It's been shown to relax muscles, treat insomnia, headaches and other illnesses. 

So why is it in our hair care products?

Spearmint essential oil can be used to great effect on your hair and your scalp. Spearmint is naturally anti-fungal and antibacterial nature, making it an effective treatment for certain scalp conditions including dandruff. The cooling menthol also makes it an excellent remedy for itching and dryness.

But the biggest benefit is that spearmint oil can also stimulate the hair follicles and increase blood flow. A healthy scalp is an indicator of healthy hair.

Improved circulation and oxygen distribution is what helps to strengthen hair and help it grow more quickly.
